Recovery Happens 2023!

Happy Recovery Happens Month from Voices of Recovery!

Every September for National Recovery month or as we call it in San Mateo County, Recovery Happens Month, VORSMC hosts recovery events to celebrate and to spread awareness that people can and do recover.

We’d like to thank the community and the organizations that have supported and sponsored this year’s events. On September 1st we came together for the evening at County Center for the Candlelight Vigil, “Shining a light in the darkness”.September 12th we were at Mezes Park for our Annual Recovery Breakfast after which we marched for thePhilomena Walk of Hope to the Courthouse where we met up with a fantastic resource fair and attended the meeting of County Board of Supervisors who presented a proclamation declaring September 2023 as Recovery Happens Month. We still have more events this month! Come join us for the Recovery Picnic at Coyote Point on September 20th, and the Recovery Dance at P90’s Friendship Hall on September 30th. Invite your supporters, grab some great food, and celebrate Recovery!
