Advocacy is one of the cornerstones of our mission! We believe in the power of encouraging people in recovery and family members to find and use their voices to advocate together and for themselves for treatment, fair consideration and recognition of their rights, humanity and dignity.

Voices of Recovery San Mateo County supports and collaborates with a number of community based organizations, health equity initiatives and recovery advocacy efforts.

Listening to each other’s voices and helping individuals to find their voices are the keys to advocacy and fighting stigma.  VORSMC members are encouraged and supported in their efforts to find their voices through participation with us, and through social media.
