We’re thrilled to have you here. We are dedicated to transforming lives and helping individuals break free from addiction. Our commitment lies in providing education, wellness, advocacy, and support for those seeking long-term recovery from alcohol and other drugs. We aim to empower individuals to become positive contributors to the community.

Our mission is to make these opportunities accessible to all members of the vulnerable community in San Mateo County, including friends, allies, and recovery supporters.

A Judgment-Free, Stigma-Free Space

Seeking help is an act of strength, and you deserve to be met with compassion. Our team of lived-experienced peers are dedicated to creating an affirming environment where hope returns on your terms.

Person Centered

We believe in meeting participants where they are and helping them work toward their personal goals.

Trauma Informed

Our peers are trained to address trauma and its impact on participants' ability to engage in recovery.

Holistic

We work with participants in all aspects of their lives for them to find strength and hope on their terms.

Our Vision

To create a community where every individual affected by addiction has access to the resources, support, and opportunities needed to achieve and sustain long-term recovery, fostering an inclusive environment and a culture of hope, resilience, and empowerment.

Voices of Recovery San Mateo County (VORSMC) creates peer-led opportunities for education, wellness, advocacy, and support services for individuals in need of long-term recovery from alcohol and other drug addictions, equally sharing these opportunities and support services with impacted families.

VORSMC is for everyone seeking and maintaining long-term recovery from their addictions, as well as long-term recovery from being affected by another's addictions, including family members, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
