In Loving Memory of Ivan Ibarra

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Ivan Ibarra, a beloved member of the Voices team, tragically passed away in a car accident over the weekend of June 27th.

We are still working to process this loss and adjust to his absence, and may have some adjusted hours over the next weeks as we move forwards. We are here for support for the community in this time of loss.

Let's come together and keep the family in prayer, and if you would like to donate, the family has set up a gofundme page, linked below.

Ivan was an individual who had a deep impact on his entire community, and he will be missed dearly. The world will be just a bit less bright without him in it.

Ivan Ibarra, born July 14, 1989, to his loving parents Andres Ibarra and Guillermina Villa in San Francisco, CA, was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend who was called home on June 27, 2025, to return to his heavenly father. He spent his early years in Daly City and South San Francisco, where he attended school and built strong friendships throughout his life.
Ivan had a heart for service and found his calling in supporting others on their journey to recovery from addiction. Through his work at Voices of Recovery and in the community, he offered hope, strength, and encouragement to countless individuals. Guided by humility and a deep spiritual commitment, Ivan lived each day with grace and purpose. He often carried his favorite N.A. book, Living Clean, which reflected the values he embraced and the courageous journey he undertook. In his recovery and professional life, Ivan gave selflessly, offering his time, love, and support to anyone in need. His quiet strength, compassionate nature, and unwavering generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
He found joy in simple moments and looked forward to the future, from his sobriety adventures to the many more he was planning. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he shared so freely.
Ivan is survived by his loving parents, his brother Andres Ibarra Jr., his sister Vanessa Castaño, his beloved 12-year-old son, and a host of family and friends.
He is deeply missed but forever remembered.
